FAQs

It reflects a standard Purāṇic cosmogonic motif in which creation proceeds through intermediary progenitors (e.g., Dakṣa) and mind-born lineages, illustrating how later Sanskrit compendia systematized earlier mythic genealogies into a structured account of sṛṣṭi (creation).

No specific toponym is identified in this verse; the setting is described generically as 'in the waters' (salile), a common cosmogonic locale rather than a mapped pilgrimage site.

The verse primarily conveys a philosophical-cosmological principle rather than a direct ethical injunction: creation is portrayed as an ordered, delegated process aligned with a higher directive (the 'excellent deity'), emphasizing cosmic order and continuity.
