किमेतदित्यद्भुतकर्मकारी ह्येकः करोत्यप्रतिमं महच्च । कार्यं सुराणां कृतमेतदिष्टं भवेदथैतं परितं कुतस्तत् ॥ २३.२१ ॥
kim etad ity adbhuta-karmakārī hy ekaḥ karoty apratimaṁ mahac ca | kāryaṁ surāṇāṁ kṛtam etad iṣṭaṁ bhaved athaitaṁ paritaṁ kutas tat || 23.21 ||
“ഇതെന്ത്? അത്ഭുതകർമ്മം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരുത്തൻ തന്നെ മഹത്തായതും അപരിമിതവുമായ പ്രവർത്തി സാധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് ദേവന്മാരുടെ ഇഷ്ടകാര്യമായി പൂർത്തിയായതായി തോന്നുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതിന് വിപരീതം എങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കും, അത് എവിടെ നിന്നാണ് ഉദിക്കുക?”
