मनसा निश्चितात्मानस्त्यक्त्वा सर्वप्रियाप्रियम् ॥ काङ्क्षन्ते बहवः केचित्केनचिद्विनिहन्यते ॥

manasā niścitātmānas tyaktvā sarvapriyāpriyam || kāṅkṣante bahavaḥ kecit kenacid vinihanyate ||

പലരും മനസ്സിൽ ദൃഢനിശ്ചയം ചെയ്ത് പ്രിയാപ്രിയങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടും ഫലത്തെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; ചിലർ ഏതോ കാരണത്താൽ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആരോ ഒരാളാൽ തടയപ്പെടുന്നു।
