अमरत्वं कथं याति व्रतेन नियमेन च ॥ केन वा दानधर्मेण तपसा वा सुरोत्तम ॥

amaratvaṃ kathaṃ yāti vratena niyamena ca || kena vā dānadharmeṇa tapasā vā surottama ||

ഹേ സുരോത്തമാ! വ്രതവും നിയമാനുഷ്ഠാനവും കൊണ്ട് അമരത്വം എങ്ങനെ ലഭിക്കുന്നു? അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഏത് ദാനധർമ്മത്തിലൂടെയോ ഏത് തപസ്സിലൂടെയോ അത് സിദ്ധിക്കുന്നു?
