तस्माद्दानं प्रदातव्यं ब्राह्मणाय वसुन्धरे ॥ देवासुरमनुष्याणां गन्धर्वोरगरक्षसाम्
tasmād dānaṃ pradātavyaṃ brāhmaṇāya vasundhare || devāsuramanusyāṇāṃ gandharvoragarakṣasām
അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ വസുന്ധരേ, ബ്രാഹ്മണനു ദാനം നൽകേണ്ടതാണ്; ദേവന്മാർ, അസുരർ, മനുഷ്യർ, ഗന്ധർവർ, ഉരഗർ (നാഗർ), രാക്ഷസർ എന്നിവരിലും ഈ ആചാരം അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
