प्रेताय प्रथमं दद्याद् न स्पृशेत परात्परम् ॥ सर्वं व्यञ्जनसंयुक्तं प्रेतभागं प्रकल्पयेत् ॥
pretāya prathamaṁ dadyād na spṛśeta parātparam || sarvaṁ vyañjanasaṁyuktaṁ pretabhāgaṁ prakalpayet ||
ആദ്യം പ്രേതനു ഭാഗം നൽകണം; അതിനുശേഷം (ആഹാരം) സ്പർശിക്കരുത്; എല്ലാ വ്യഞ്ജനങ്ങളോടും കൂടിയ പ്രേതഭാഗം ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തണം।
