Ritual Procedure for Consecration
शान्तिजापस्ततः कार्यः सर्वकार्यर्थसिद्धिदः ॥ मन्त्रः— त्वं वै सुशान्तिं कुरु लोकनाथ राज्ञः सराष्ट्रस्य च ब्राह्मणानाम् ॥ बालेषु वृद्धेषु गवाङ्गणेषु कन्यासु शान्तिं च पतिव्रतासु ॥
śāntijāpas tataḥ kāryaḥ sarvakāryārthasiddhidaḥ || mantraḥ— tvaṁ vai suśāntiṁ kuru lokanātha rājñaḥ sarāṣṭrasya ca brāhmaṇānām || bāleṣu vṛddheṣu gavāṅgaṇeṣu kanyāsu śāntiṁ ca pativratāsu ||
അതിനുശേഷം ശാന്തി-ജപം ചെയ്യണം; അത് എല്ലാ കര്മ്മങ്ങളുടെയും ലക്ഷ്യസിദ്ധി നല്കുന്നതായി പറയുന്നു. മന്ത്രം— “ഹേ ലോകനാഥാ! നീ തീർച്ചയായും സു-ശാന്തി വരുത്തണമേ—രാജാവിനും, അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിനും, ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാർക്കും; കുട്ടികളിലും വൃദ്ധരിലും, പശുക്കളിലും ഗൃഹങ്ങളിലും, കന്യകളിലും, പതിവ്രതകളിലും കൂടി ശാന്തി ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.”
