एवं कर्माणि कुर्वन्स ब्रह्मलोकजिगीषया॥ बहून्यब्दान्यतीतानि ब्राह्मणस्य वने तदा॥

evaṃ karmāṇi kurvans brahmaloka-jigīṣayā || bahūny abdāny atītāni brāhmaṇasya vane tadā

ഇങ്ങനെ കർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് ബ്രഹ്മലോകപ്രാപ്തിയുടെ ആഗ്രഹത്തോടെ, ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണന് വനത്തിൽ പല വർഷങ്ങൾ കടന്നുപോയി।
