अथ मथुरापरिक्रमप्रादुर्भावः ॥ श्रीवराह उवाच ॥ अष्टम्यां मथुरां प्राप्य कार्त्तिकस्यासिते नरः ॥ स्नात्वा विश्रान्तितीर्थे तु पितृदेवार्चने रतः।
atha mathurāparikramaprādurbhāvaḥ || śrīvarāha uvāca || aṣṭamyāṁ mathurāṁ prāpya kārtikasyāsite naraḥ || snātvā viśrāntitīrthe tu pitṛdevārcane rataḥ
ഇപ്പോൾ മഥുരാ-പരിക്രമയുടെ പ്രാദുർഭാവം (വിവരണം). ശ്രീവരാഹൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—കാർത്തിക മാസത്തിലെ കൃഷ്ണപക്ഷ അഷ്ടമിയിൽ മഥുരയിൽ എത്തി, വിശ്രാന്തി തീർത്ഥത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ചെയ്ത്, മനുഷ്യൻ പിതൃ-ദേവാര്ചനയിൽ നിരതനായിരിക്കണം।
