श्रीवराह उवाच ॥ शृणुष्व देवि भद्रं ते यद्गुह्यं परि पृच्छसि ॥ अत्र ते कीर्तयिष्यामि सेतिहासां कथां शुभाम् ॥
śrīvarāha uvāca || śṛṇuṣva devi bhadraṃ te yadguhyaṃ pari pṛcchasi || atra te kīrtayiṣyāmi setihāsāṃ kathāṃ śubhām ||
ശ്രീവരാഹൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ ദേവി, ശ്രവിക്കൂ; നിനക്കു മംഗളം വരട്ടെ. നീ ചോദിക്കുന്ന ആ ഗുഹ്യവിഷയം, ഇതിഹാസസഹിതമായ ഈ ശുഭകഥയായി ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ നിനക്കു വിവരിക്കും.
