त्रीणि श्राद्धे पवित्राणि दौहित्रः कुतपस्तिलाः । रजतस्य तथा दानं तथा संदर्शनादिकम् ॥ १४.४४ ॥
trīṇi śrāddhe pavitrāṇi dauhitraḥ kutapas tilāḥ | rajatasya tathā dānaṃ tathā saṃdarśanādikam || 14.44 ||
ശ്രാദ്ധത്തിൽ മൂന്നു കാര്യങ്ങൾ പവിത്രമെന്നു പറയുന്നു—ദൗഹിത്രൻ (മകളുടെ മകൻ), കുതപം (ഉണ്ണിവസ്ത്രം/ആസനം), എള്ള്. അതുപോലെ വെള്ളി ദാനം, ‘സന്ദർശനം’ മുതലായ കർമങ്ങളും പുണ്യകരമെന്നു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.
