करीरस्य वधः शस्तः फलान्यौदुम्बरस्य च ॥ सद्योभक्षा भवत्तेन अभक्ष्या पूतिवासिका
karīrasya vadhaḥ śastaḥ phalāny audumbarasya ca || sadyo-bhakṣā bhavat tena abhakṣyā pūti-vāsikā
കരീരത്തെ മുറിച്ച് (ശേഖരിച്ച്) എടുക്കുന്നത് പ്രശസ്തം; ഉദുംബരഫലങ്ങളും അതുപോലെ. ആ നിയമപ്രകാരം അത് ഉടൻ ഭക്ഷ്യമാണ്; എന്നാൽ പൂതിവാസികാ അഭക്ഷ്യം.
