अथ जन्माभावः ॥ श्रीवराह उवाच ॥ येन गर्भं न गच्छेत तच्छृणुष्व वसुन्धरे ॥ कथयिष्यामि ते ह्येवं सर्वधर्मविनिश्चयम् ॥

ഇപ്പോൾ ജന്മാഭാവം (ജന്മനിവൃത്തി) എന്ന വിഷയം. ശ്രീവരാഹൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ വസുന്ധരേ, വീണ്ടും ഗർഭത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്ന മാർഗം കേൾക്കുക; സർവ്വധർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ നിർണായക നിശ്ചയം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ പറയും।
