व्रीहीणां च प्रवक्ष्यामि उपयोग्यानि माधवि ॥ एकाग्रं मानसं कृत्वा प्रापणं शृणु सुन्दरि ॥

vrīhīṇāṁ ca pravakṣyāmi upayogyāni mādhavi || ekāgraṁ mānasaṁ kṛtvā prāpaṇaṁ śṛṇu sundari

ഹേ മാധവീ, യോജ്യമായ അരിയുടെ ഇനങ്ങളും ഞാൻ വിശദീകരിക്കും. മനസ്സിനെ ഏകാഗ്രമാക്കി, ഹേ സുന്ദരി, പ്രാപണവിധി കേൾക്കുക.
