पुलस्त्य उवाच पुरा हि विन्ध्येन दिवाकरस्य गतिर्निरुद्धा गगनेचरस्य रविस्ततः कुमभभवं समेत्य होमावसाने वचनं बभाषे

pulastya uvāca purā hi vindhyena divākarasya gatirniruddhā gaganecarasya ravistataḥ kumabhabhavaṃ sametya homāvasāne vacanaṃ babhāṣe

പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പുരാതനകാലത്ത് വിന്ധ്യൻ ആകാശചരനായ ദിവാകരസൂര്യന്റെ ഗതി തടഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ രവി കുംഭഭവനായ (അഗസ്ത്യന്റെ) അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, ഹോമം അവസാനിച്ചപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് വചനങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
