Agastya (contextual continuation)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā
Type: kshetra
Scene: A young-to-middle-aged ascetic sage, Kautsa, arrives at the royal threshold—matted hair or neatly tied jaṭā, kamaṇḍalu and staff—his face composed, eyes intent, embodying restraint; courtiers part respectfully.
The guru-śiṣya lineage is honored; disciplined sages and devoted students become instruments of dharma.
Ayodhyā remains the narrative locus, portrayed as a meeting ground for kings and great ṛṣis.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; the verse introduces Kautsa in connection with the dharmic practice of guru-dakṣiṇā.
