kambugrīvaṃ padmagaṃdhaṃ sarvalakṣaṇasaṃyutam | vratāṃte mūrcchitā bālā gatajñānā vabhūva sā

Translation

അവളുടെ കഴുത്ത് ശംഖംപോലെ, സുഗന്ധം പദ്മംപോലെ, എല്ലാ മംഗളലക്ഷണങ്ങളാലും യുക്തയായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ വ്രതാന്തത്തിൽ ആ ബാലിക മൂർച്ചിച്ചു ബോധം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു।
