Tirtha: Bilva-vana-mṛnmayaliṅga (Vastrāpatha)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The earthen liṅga radiates; Indra, crowned and holding vajra, stands with lowered pride as a dark stain (symbolic brahmahatyā) dissolves into light; sages witness the purification.
Sacred places and Śiva-liṅgas are presented as powerful means of purification; sincere darśana can dissolve even grave karmic burdens.
The earthen liṅga in the bilva grove at Vastrāpatha, famed for removing brahmahatyā.
Darśana (seeing/visiting) itself is stated as efficacious; no additional rite is specified in this verse.
