इत्याह पौंड्रको राजा नचेद्वधमवा प्स्यसि । ततश्च भगवान्विष्णुः प्राहास्य रुचिरं वचः
ityāha pauṃḍrako rājā nacedvadhamavā psyasi | tataśca bhagavānviṣṇuḥ prāhāsya ruciraṃ vacaḥ
ഇങ്ങനെ പൗണ്ഡ്രകനായ രാജാവ് പറഞ്ഞു—“അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നീ നിശ്ചയമായി വധം പ്രാപിക്കും.” തുടർന്ന് ഭഗവാൻ വിഷ്ണു പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ മനോഹരവചനങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
