ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | jānāsi sarvaṃ tvaṃ deva na cāstyaviditaṃ tava | imaṃ daityaṃ mahādeva saṃharasva mahābalam | yathedaṃ sakalaṃ viśvaṃ nirātaṃkaṃ bhavetprabho
Ṛṣis
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sages, still in añjali, urgently petition the omniscient Lord to destroy a mighty daitya so the universe becomes fearless; the atmosphere shifts from calm devotion to righteous urgency.
Righteous beings seek the Lord’s intervention to restore dharma and remove fear from the world.
The request occurs within the Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya narrative, connecting Prabhāsa with divine safeguarding of the world.
No ritual is prescribed; it is a petitionary prayer (yācñā) for the destruction of adharma embodied by the daitya.
