पादुकासनसंयुक्तं सर्वदैत्यांतकारिणम् । आदौ कृतयुगे देवि दैत्योऽभून्मेघवाहनः

Transliteration

pādukāsanasaṃyuktaṃ sarvadaityāṃtakāriṇam | ādau kṛtayuge devi daityo'bhūnmeghavāhanaḥ

Translation

അത് ‘പാദുകാസനം’ സഹിതം ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതും സർവ്വ ദൈത്യാന്തകാരിയുമായതായി പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. ഹേ ദേവി, കൃതയുഗത്തിന്റെ ആദിയിൽ ‘മേഘവാഹനൻ’ എന്നൊരു ദൈത്യൻ ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചു।
