अष्टकोटिसुतीर्थानि तत्रानीय स्वयं हरिः । तीर्थे प्रकल्पयामास शुद्धिं कृत्वा सुदर्शने । तीर्थस्य चक्रे नामापि चकतीर्थमिति श्रुतम्

aṣṭakoṭisutīrthāni tatrānīya svayaṃ hariḥ | tīrthe prakalpayāmāsa śuddhiṃ kṛtvā sudarśane | tīrthasya cakre nāmāpi cakatīrthamiti śrutam

സ്വയം ഹരി അവിടേക്ക് എട്ടുകോടി ശ്രേഷ്ഠ തീർത്ഥങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് ആ സ്ഥലത്ത് സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. സുദർശനചക്രത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച്, ആ തീർത്ഥത്തിന് ‘ചക്രതീർത്ഥം’ എന്ന നാമവും നൽകി; അത് പ്രസിദ്ധമായി.
