अथाभावे तु वित्तस्य ये च विप्रा ह्यकिंचनाः । विद्याविनयसंपन्ना ब्राह्मणैर्जर्जरीकृताः
athābhāve tu vittasya ye ca viprā hyakiṃcanāḥ | vidyāvinayasaṃpannā brāhmaṇairjarjarīkṛtāḥ
പിന്നീട് ധനം ഇല്ലാതായപ്പോൾ, സത്യത്തിൽ അകിഞ്ചനരായിട്ടും വിദ്യയും വിനയവും സമ്പന്നമായിരുന്ന ആ വിപ്രന്മാർ മറ്റു ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരാൽ മർദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു പരിക്കേറ്റു।
