ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि तस्माद्वै कौरवेश्वरीम् । यस्य नाम्ना कुरुक्षेत्रं तेन साराधिता पुरा
īśvara uvāca | tato gacchenmahādevi tasmādvai kauraveśvarīm | yasya nāmnā kurukṣetraṃ tena sārādhitā purā
ഈശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—അതിനുശേഷം, ഹേ മഹാദേവി, അവിടെ നിന്ന് കൗരവേശ്വരിയിലേക്കു പോകണം; അവളുടെ നാമം കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ കുരുക്ഷേത്രം പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്; അവൾ പുരാതനകാലത്ത് പൂർണ്ണഭക്തിയോടെ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു।
