Īśvara (Śiva) (continuing narration)
Tirtha: Gandharva-kūpa
Type: kund
Scene: A sacred feminine river-current, previously hidden, crosses a dark ‘sinful’ stretch; the earth splits open and a stone-lined well appears, shimmering with inner light, attended by subtle gandharva-presence.
Sacred waters arise as instruments of purification, transforming landscapes even after passages through impurity.
A tīrtha-well named Gandharva-kūpa is introduced as a sanctified spot within the Prabhāsa sacred geography.
No explicit prescription appears in this verse, but the creation of a kūpa implies later tīrtha-acts such as snāna and ācamana in the broader māhātmya.
