तदा तेन पुरःस्थेन देवी साभिहिता भृशम् । वाडवं संप्रयच्छैनं सुरशत्रुं सरस्वति
tadā tena puraḥsthena devī sābhihitā bhṛśam | vāḍavaṃ saṃprayacchainaṃ suraśatruṃ sarasvati
അപ്പോൾ അവളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ ദേവിയോട് അത്യന്തം വിനയത്തോടെ പറഞ്ഞു—‘ഹേ സരസ്വതീ, ദേവശത്രുവായ ഈ വാഡവത്തെ എനിക്ക് ഏല്പിക്കണമേ.’
