आपस्तंब उवाच । श्रमेण महताविष्टाः कैवर्त्ता दुःखजीविनः । मम मूल्यं प्रयच्छेति यद्योग्यं मन्यसे नृप
āpastaṃba uvāca | śrameṇa mahatāviṣṭāḥ kaivarttā duḥkhajīvinaḥ | mama mūlyaṃ prayaccheti yadyogyaṃ manyase nṛpa
ആപസ്തംബൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—“മഹാശ്രമത്തിൽ പീഡിതരായി ദുഃഖജീവിതം നയിക്കുന്ന മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികൾ ‘ഞങ്ങളുടെ വില (പാരിതോഷികം) തരുക’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു. ഹേ രാജാ, യുക്തമെന്ന് തോന്നിയാൽ അത് നൽകുക.”
