श्राद्धकृद्गोष्पदे यस्तु पितॄणामनृणो हि सः । पदमध्ये विशेषेण कुलानां शतमुद्धरेत्
śrāddhakṛdgoṣpade yastu pitṝṇāmanṛṇo hi saḥ | padamadhye viśeṣeṇa kulānāṃ śatamuddharet
ഗോഷ്പദത്തിൽ ശ്രാദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ പിതൃഋണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് സത്യമായി വിമുക്തനാകുന്നു; പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ആ പുണ്യ ‘പദ’ത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ ചെയ്താൽ നൂറു കുലങ്ങളെ ഉയർത്തി രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
