तेन ज्वालासमूहेन व्याप्तं कुण्डं चतुर्दिशम् । तप्तोदकुण्डमभवत्तेन ख्यातं धरातले
tena jvālāsamūhena vyāptaṃ kuṇḍaṃ caturdiśam | taptodakuṇḍamabhavattena khyātaṃ dharātale
ആ ജ്വാലാസമൂഹം കൊണ്ട് കുണ്ഡം നാലുദിക്കിലും വ്യാപിച്ചു. അത് ‘തപ്തോദകുണ്ഡം’ ആയി, അതിനാൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമായി.
