श्रुत्वैतद्वचनं सोऽपि मुनिरुग्रतपास्तदा । पिता मे यो हतो देवैस्तेषां कृत्यां महाबलाम्
śrutvaitadvacanaṃ so'pi munirugratapāstadā | pitā me yo hato devaisteṣāṃ kṛtyāṃ mahābalām
ഈ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് ഉഗ്രതപസ്സുള്ള ആ മുനി അപ്പോൾ തീരുമാനിച്ചു: 'എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ ദേവന്മാർ കൊന്നതുകൊണ്ട്, അവർക്കെതിരെ ഞാൻ മഹാശക്തയായ കൃത്യയെ (വിനാശശക്തിയെ) സൃഷ്ടിക്കും.'
