उद्भिज्जाः स्थावराः प्रोक्तास्तृणगुल्मलता दयः । अन्येऽप्येवं यथायोगमंतर्भूताः सहस्रशः
udbhijjāḥ sthāvarāḥ proktāstṛṇagulmalatā dayaḥ | anye'pyevaṃ yathāyogamaṃtarbhūtāḥ sahasraśaḥ
ഉദ്ഭിജ്ജങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാവരങ്ങളെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു—പുല്ല്, കുറ്റിച്ചെടി, വള്ളി മുതലായവ. ഇതുപോലെ യഥായോഗ്യം മറ്റും ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് രൂപങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു।
