आह बालक उत्पन्नः शोकस्य वद कारणम् । अथोक्तः स्तन्यरहितं कथं ते जीवितं धृतम्
āha bālaka utpannaḥ śokasya vada kāraṇam | athoktaḥ stanyarahitaṃ kathaṃ te jīvitaṃ dhṛtam
അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഹേ കുഞ്ഞേ, നീ ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദുഃഖത്തിന്റെ കാരണം പറയുക.” പിന്നെ ചോദിച്ചു— “അമ്മപ്പാൽ ഇല്ലാതെ നിന്റെ ജീവൻ എങ്ങനെ നിലനിന്നു?”
