उन्नतं नाम यल्लोके विख्यातं सुरसुन्दरि । ततो हृष्टमना भूत्वा विलोक्य नगरं शिवः । आहूय ब्राह्मणान्सर्वानुवाचानतकन्धरः
unnataṃ nāma yalloke vikhyātaṃ surasundari | tato hṛṣṭamanā bhūtvā vilokya nagaraṃ śivaḥ | āhūya brāhmaṇānsarvānuvācānatakandharaḥ
ഹേ സുരസുന്ദരി, ആ നഗരം ലോകത്തിൽ ‘ഉന്നത’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. പിന്നെ ശിവൻ നഗരം കണ്ടു ഹൃദയം ആനന്ദിച്ച്, എല്ലാ ബ്രാഹ്മണരെയും വിളിച്ചു, വിനയത്തോടെ കഴുത്ത് താഴ്ത്തി പറഞ്ഞു।
