ईश्वर उवाच । तस्माद्वायव्यदिग्भागे धनुःषोडशभिः स्थितः । उत्तरार्कश्च नाम्ना वै सद्यः प्रत्ययकारकः । मुच्यते सर्वरोगैस्तु कृत्वा वै निंबसप्तमीम्
īśvara uvāca | tasmādvāyavyadigbhāge dhanuḥṣoḍaśabhiḥ sthitaḥ | uttarārkaśca nāmnā vai sadyaḥ pratyayakārakaḥ | mucyate sarvarogaistu kṛtvā vai niṃbasaptamīm
ഈശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—അവിടെ നിന്ന് വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദിക്കിൽ പതിനാറു ധനുസ്സ് ദൂരത്ത് ‘ഉത്തരാർക’ എന്ന ദേവൻ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു; അവൻ ഉടൻ തന്നെ ഉറപ്പുനൽകുന്നവൻ. നിംബ-സപ്തമി ആചരിച്ചാൽ എല്ലാ രോഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും മോചനം ലഭിക്കും.
