तत्राऽहं सूर्यरूपेण वरं दास्यामि पुत्रक । इत्युक्तः स तदा सांबो विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना
tatrā'haṃ sūryarūpeṇa varaṃ dāsyāmi putraka | ityuktaḥ sa tadā sāṃbo viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā
“അവിടെ ഞാൻ സൂര്യരൂപത്തിൽ, മകനേ, നിനക്കൊരു വരം നൽകും.” എന്നു പ്രഭവിഷ്ണുവായ ഭഗവാൻ വിഷ്ണു അപ്പോൾ സാംബനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
