उवाच तान्मुनीन्सर्वाञ्छृणुध्वं वरमुत्तमम् । प्रसन्नोऽहं मुनिश्रेष्ठास्तपसा पूजयापि च
uvāca tānmunīnsarvāñchṛṇudhvaṃ varamuttamam | prasanno'haṃ muniśreṣṭhāstapasā pūjayāpi ca
മഹേശ്വരൻ ആ മുനിമാരെല്ലാവരോടും പറഞ്ഞു—“ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേൾക്കുക, ഉത്തമമായ വരം. ഹേ മുനിശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ തപസ്സും പൂജയും കൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ പ്രസന്നനാകുന്നു।”
