उद्वेगं च परं यांति प्रतप्यंति यतस्ततः । आत्मसंभाविता मूढा मिथ्याज्ञानेन मोहिताः । वर्णाश्रमविरुद्धं तु तीर्थे कु्र्वन्ति येऽधमाः

udvegaṃ ca paraṃ yāṃti pratapyaṃti yatastataḥ | ātmasaṃbhāvitā mūḍhā mithyājñānena mohitāḥ | varṇāśramaviruddhaṃ tu tīrthe ku्rvanti ye'dhamāḥ

അവർ അത്യന്തം ഉദ്വേഗത്തിലേക്ക് വീണു, എല്ലാടവും ദുഃഖത്തിൽ ദഗ്ധരായി അലഞ്ഞുതിരിയും—സ്വയം മഹത്വം കരുതുന്ന മൂഢർ, മിഥ്യാജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ മയങ്ങിയവർ. വർണാശ്രമധർമ്മത്തിന് വിരുദ്ധമായി നടക്കുന്ന അധമർ തീർത്ഥത്തിലും ഇത്തരമപചാരങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
