ततः प्रासादतो देवि जाड्यात्संपतितः क्रमात् । स मृतः सहसा देवि तस्मिन्क्षेत्रे शिवस्य च
tataḥ prāsādato devi jāḍyātsaṃpatitaḥ kramāt | sa mṛtaḥ sahasā devi tasminkṣetre śivasya ca
പിന്നീട്, ദേവീ, അശ്രദ്ധ മൂലം അവൻ ക്രമേണ കൊട്ടാരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് താഴെ വീണു. ദേവീ, ശിവന്റെ ആ പുണ്യക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു അവന്റെ അപ്രതീക്ഷിത മരണം।
