मकरादिनिधानैस्तु अष्टाभिः परिभूषितः । पञ्चम्यां पूजयेद्भक्त्या गन्धपुष्पानुलेपनैः । निधानप्राप्तिरतुला निर्विघ्ना तस्य जायते

makarādinidhānaistu aṣṭābhiḥ paribhūṣitaḥ | pañcamyāṃ pūjayedbhaktyā gandhapuṣpānulepanaiḥ | nidhānaprāptiratulā nirvighnā tasya jāyate

മകരാദി എട്ട് നിധികളാൽ അലങ്കൃതനായ (കുബേരനെ) പഞ്ചമി തിഥിയിൽ ഭക്തിയോടെ പൂജിക്കണം—ഗന്ധം, പുഷ്പം, അനുലേപനം എന്നിവ അർപ്പിച്ച്. അവനു അതുല ധനലാഭം നിർവിഘ്നമായി ലഭിക്കും।
