देव्युवाच । कुत्र कुत्र महादेव जलस्नानाद्विशुध्यति । किमर्थं सागरे दोषः प्राप्यते कौतुकं महत्
devyuvāca | kutra kutra mahādeva jalasnānādviśudhyati | kimarthaṃ sāgare doṣaḥ prāpyate kautukaṃ mahat
ദേവി പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ മഹാദേവാ! ഏത് ഏത് സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ജലസ്നാനത്താൽ ശുദ്ധി ലഭിക്കുന്നു? പിന്നെ സമുദ്രത്തിൽ ദോഷം ലഭിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് പറയുന്നു? ഇത് എനിക്ക് മഹത്തായ അത്ഭുതം.
