ईश्वर उवाच । भृगोर्महर्षेः पुत्रोऽभूच्च्यवनो नाम नामतः । स प्रभासं समासाद्य तपस्तेपे महामुनिः
īśvara uvāca | bhṛgormaharṣeḥ putro'bhūccyavano nāma nāmataḥ | sa prabhāsaṃ samāsādya tapastepe mahāmuniḥ
ഈശ്വരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹർഷി ഭൃഗുവിന്റെ പുത്രൻ, പേരാൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായ ച്യവനൻ. അദ്ദേഹം പ്രഭാസത്തിൽ എത്തി ആ മഹാമുനി തപസ്സു അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു.
