वयं मुष्टा यतो विप्र मूलस्थाने पुरा स्थिताः । मूलस्थानेति वै नाम लोके ख्यातिं गमिष्यति
vayaṃ muṣṭā yato vipra mūlasthāne purā sthitāḥ | mūlasthāneti vai nāma loke khyātiṃ gamiṣyati
ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ, ഞങ്ങൾ പൂർവ്വം ‘മൂലസ്ഥാന’ത്തിൽ വസിച്ചതിനാൽ ഞങ്ങളെ ‘മുഷ്ടാ’ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു; ‘മൂലസ്ഥാനം’ എന്ന നാമവും ലോകത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമാകും.
