ഈശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—അപ്പോൾ, ഹേ ദേവീ, ആ ഗന്ധർവ്വൻ ഭവനായ ശിവനെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു; ‘സോമവാരവ്രതം’ എന്ന വ്രതത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് മുനിശ്രേഷ്ഠനോട് ചോദിച്ചു.
