ततस्तपस्यतस्तस्य तपो रौद्रं महात्मनः । पुरतो ह्युत्थितं लिंगं भक्त्या युक्तस्य सुन्दरि
tatastapasyatastasya tapo raudraṃ mahātmanaḥ | purato hyutthitaṃ liṃgaṃ bhaktyā yuktasya sundari
ഹേ സുന്ദരീ! ആ മഹാത്മാവ് രൗദ്രമായ തപസ്സിൽ നിരതനായിരിക്കെ, ഭക്തിയാൽ യുക്തനായതിനാൽ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഒരു ശിവലിംഗം ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചു।
