tapaḥśīlaguṇopete pātre vedasya pārage | suvarṇakoṭiṃ yaddattvā tatphalaṃ kusumena tu

Translation

തപസ്സ്, ശീലം, ഗുണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയാൽ സമ്പന്നനും വേദപാരഗനുമായ യോഗ്യപാത്രനു ഒരു കോടി സ്വർണം ദാനം ചെയ്താൽ ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഫലം, ശിവനു ഒരു പുഷ്പം മാത്രം അർപ്പിച്ചാലും അതേ ഫലം ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
