eko vratāni sarvāṇi kurute mṛgalāṃchana | anyaḥ paśyati māmatra samaṃ tābhyāṃ phalaṃ smṛtam

ഹേ മൃഗലാഞ്ഛനാ! ഒരാൾ എല്ലാ വ്രത-നിയമങ്ങളും അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റൊരാൾ ഇവിടെ എന്നെ ദർശിക്കുന്നു—ഇരുവർക്കും തുല്യഫലമെന്ന് സ്മൃതിയിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
