गण उवाच । मां दृष्ट्वा यद्विशालाक्षि रूपसौभाग्यगर्विता । समाक्षिपसि गंधर्वान्देवाद्यांश्चैव गर्विता

ഗണൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിശാലനയനേ! രൂപസൗഭാഗ്യത്തിന്റെ ഗർവത്തിൽ മദിച്ചവളേ, എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ട് അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ ഗന്ധർവരെയും ദേവാദികളെയും നീ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
