शंकर उवाच । परितुष्टोऽस्मि ते वत्स स्तोत्रेणानेन शीतगो । वरं वरय भद्रं ते भूयो यत्ते मनोगतम्
śaṃkara uvāca | parituṣṭo'smi te vatsa stotreṇānena śītago | varaṃ varaya bhadraṃ te bhūyo yatte manogatam
ശങ്കരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വത്സാ, ഹേ ശീതഗോ (ചന്ദ്രാ), ഈ സ്തോത്രം കൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ പൂർണ്ണമായി പ്രസന്നനാകുന്നു. നിനക്കു മംഗളം; ഹൃദയം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു വരമായി ചോദിക്കൂ.
