धिग्धिगित्येवकालं तं परिचिंत्य जनार्दनः । मेने प्राप्तं स षट्त्रिंशं वर्षं केशिनिषूदनः । पुत्रशोकाभिसंतप्ता गांधारी यदुवाच ह

ആ കാലത്തെ ചിന്തിച്ച് ജനാർദ്ദനൻ ‘ധിക് ധിക്’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കേശിനിഷൂദനൻ മുപ്പത്താറാം വർഷം എത്തിയെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കി—പുത്രശോകത്തിൽ ദഹിച്ച ഗന്ധാരി മുൻപ് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ।
