evaṃ paśyanhṛṣīkeśaḥ saṃprāptānkālaparyayān | trayodaśīṃ hyamāvāsyāṃ tāṃ dṛṣṭvā prābravīdidam

FAQs

Time (kāla) is a divine force; recognizing its signs, the wise act promptly in dharmic ways rather than clinging to complacency.

Prabhāsa-kṣetra is the broader destination implied, where purification and auspicious resolution are sought.

A calendrical anomaly is noted (trayodaśī like amāvāsyā), serving as an omen; the explicit remedy (tīrthayātrā/śānti) comes in subsequent verses.
